Home Movie Day 2016 will be on October 15th, 2016, but events take place throughout the year. Most Home Movie Day events are open screenings of home movies from the public, but each event is different and organized by local hosts, so check with the organizers for details. Those listed as Special Home Movie Day events include workshops, presentations and screenings of archival home movie collections. Approximately 25 bring-your-own films will be shown.
9:00 p.m. Afterwards, a screening of featured local contemporary art films curated by Sam Hoolihan, local filmmaker and adjunt professor at the U of M and MCAD, will be projected on Super 8mm, Regular 8mm, and 16mm film.
