HOME MOVIE DAY 2022
Saturday, October 15th is the “official” HMD date this year, but like last year we welcome events throughout October and beyond – any day can be Home Movie Day! We're continuing to encourage virtual events in 2022, while also welcoming in-person or hybrid gatherings when and where they are safe. We partnered with the Bay Area Video Coalition to produce a how-to guide for hosting virtual events – check it out below!

Home Movie Day: A celebration of amateur films and filmmaking from Emory’s collections

A virtual event focused on the discovery, celebration, and preservation of community history in film collections at Emory, this online presentation will showcase films from Emory University Archives, Rose Library, and Oxford College Library. Selections include footage of the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair, home movies filmed on the Oxford campus, and a home movie by Georgia legislator and Emory University trustee James Vinson Carmichael.
