Virtual Home Movie Day–Lewisburg, PA
October 24 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
The Campus Theatre is thrilled to bring Virtual Home Movie Day to the greater Lewisburg Community on Saturday, October 24th!
Location: Online from the comfort of your own home via Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, or Twitch!
Deadline to submit a film: October 17th
Join us in the celebration of amateur films and filmmaking held annually at theaters worldwide. Home Movie Day events provide the opportunity for individuals and families to see and share their own home movies with an audience of their community, and to see their neighbors’ in turn. It’s a chance to discover the importance of these films and how to preserve them for future generations to enjoy!
How Can You Help Make This Year A Success?
If you have footage of historic Lewisburg or a family event or a film you made that you’d love for people to see now is your chance to have it broadcast online via Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, and Twitch!
While we cannot guarantee all footage will make it to broadcast, this is a great opportunity to turn your home into an archeological excavation site, dig through your closets, call Grandma, discover and preserve your family’s home movies! Choose up to 10 minutes of your home movies on film (that’s roughly 3 (three), 50ft reels of 8mm film) or video tape. We can accept films in the following formats:
With video tape, please specify if there’s a specific scene you want us to capture. Unfortunately, you will not be able to queue up the video tape at our studio.
As a BONUS, you’ll later get a free digital transfer (downloadable file e-mailed to you) of the home movie that you shared with us on the screen.
To Submit a film:
If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment to drop off your film, please email us at Andy@campustheatre.org.
We will be accepting home movies through October 17th
