Synopsis:
A look at a group of young Japanese friends in 1970, followed by a trip to a traditional cemetery.

Historical Background:
I'm an installation artist based in Nagoya. I try to find old attractive buildings and use them in my work. The venue for Home Movie Day Nagoya in 2005, Shumoku-kan, was one the houses I worked on.

This film was shot when I was an art student at the local college in the late 70s, and the girl on the bed is myself. When I heard of the Home Movie Day event, I dug some 8mm films out from the attic, but I had no memory whatsoever of what those films were like. In those days, I was listening to jazz with my friends and just having fun making films in black and white.
